BMW N62B40 Engine FAQ
The N62B40 is one of BMW's modern V8 engines, built at the BMW factory in Steyr, Austria. Taking many elements from the previous N62 engine, it featured an increase in torque for a better driveability. The N62 was replaced by the all-aluminum 4-litre twin turbocharged N63 instead of a naturally-aspirated V8 which is used on larger 7 Series, X5 SUV's and other high end models.
