As an alternative to this internal combustion engine, a hybrid powerplant with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline compressor motor and electric motor is provided. Its total power is 234 hp, the drive is only full. In this version of Murano, it takes 8.3 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km / h.
Both versions of the engines are paired with a continuously variable transmission, however, the hybrid version is equipped with a completely new variator (the gas variator remains almost unchanged), in which a steel chain is used instead of a plate belt, in addition, the new transmission became lighter, the friction level is reduced by 40% , reduced pressure on the pulleys, the dimensions of the oil pump have become more compact, the operating range is expanded. As in previous generations, the crossover uses a fully independent suspension with McPherson struts in front and a multi-link at the rear. However, despite the surviving design, the undercarriage was seriously upgraded, the stiffness of the anti-roll bars (front – by 5%, rear – by 23%), springs and shock absorbers with different characteristics were installed.
As befits a modern car of this class, Murano is equipped with a rich set of active and passive safety systems. Four cameras “in a circle” ensure the operation of BSW systems (monitors vehicles in the “dead zone”), CTA (approaching another car from either side), as well as Around View all-round monitor with a moving object detection system (MOD), which greatly facilitates maneuvering cramped or parking. But even in the basic configuration around the cabin, airbags are installed that are part of the Nissan Advanced Airbag System intelligent system, a wide range of active systems (ABS, EBD, BAS, ESP, HAC), as well as cruise control and a pressure monitoring system are provided tires, front and rear parking sensors.
