Introduction To The Toyota Quantum

The  Quantum van features increased interior space and improved security system. Hiace, belonging to the “4-number” category, has the largest cargo compartment among classmates – its length is as much as 3000 mm. Some lengthening of the front overhang reduced the likelihood of serious collision damage. In addition, the body structure itself was revised, new solutions were introduced into the design of the steering wheel and brake pedal. The model is rich in various combinations of body size and seat layout: modifications are available “Long” and “Super Long”, presented in the form of 2 – or 5-seater “Van”, 10-seater “Wagon” and 15-seater “Commuter”. 

Engines

The model is equipped with three types of engines:

in-line 4-cylinder engine with a volume of 2, 7 or 2 liters and a turbo 2.5-liter diesel engine with direct injection system. (August 2004)

The list of standard equipment on all Hiace Van models includes a mechanism for manually aligning the front lights and a brake light above the rear window. The range of folding the front passenger backrest in the luxury trim levels of the “Van” and “Commuter” versions has been increased. As an option, a navigation system is now installed on a DVD or hard disk. (November 2005)

The design of the grille and seat upholstery has been changed. Diesel equipment received a new 3-liter diesel engine with a turbine of variable cross-section, as well as a highly efficient DPR exhaust aftertreatment system. Added “GL” equipment for the “Wagon” body. (August 2007)
